On Thursday April 30, Cabinet<\/strong> <\/a>magazine is hosting a book launch and discussion for the IFF’s newly published Crochet Coral Reef.<\/em><\/p>\n

Please join us in Brooklyn to celebrate.\u00a0The evening will feature a presentation by Reef<\/em> co-creator Margaret Wertheim,\u00a0followed by a discussion between her and McKenzie Wark,\u00a0author of\u00a0Molecular Red: Theory for the Anthropocene.<\/em><\/p>\n

Copies of\u00a0Crochet Coral Reef<\/em>\u00a0(Institute For Figuring Press, 2015) will be available for purchase and signing at the event.<\/p>\n

ABOUT THE PARTICIPANTS<\/b>
\nMcKenzie Wark<\/b><\/a>\u00a0is the author of The Hacker Manifesto<\/em>, and most recently,\u00a0Molecular Red: Theory for the Anthropocene<\/em>\u00a0(Verso Books, 2015). He teaches at the New School for Social Research.<\/p>\n

Margaret Wertheim<\/b><\/a>\u00a0is a science writer, curator, and director of the Institute For Figuring. With her sister Christine Wertheim she created the Crochet Coral Reef<\/em> project which has been exhibited at the Hayward Gallery in London and the Smithsonian\u2019s National Museum of Natural History in Washington, DC, and will be on display at the Minneapolis Institute of Arts during summer 2015.<\/p>\n
